Effective 2025
At Upside Down Records, we take pride in curating quality second-hand vinyl for fellow music lovers. While all our records are pre-loved, we carefully inspect and grade every item so you know exactly what you’re getting. That said, we understand that sometimes things don’t work out—and we’re here to help.
🔁 Returns & Exchanges
Due to the nature of second-hand goods, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. However, we do offer the following:
🛠 Faulty or Damaged Items (Online Orders)
If a record is unplayable due to a fault not described at the time of sale, we’ll happily offer:
An exchange for the same title (if available),
Or a store credit for the purchase price.
📅 Timeframe: Please notify us within 7 days of purchase (or 14 days if purchased online).
🎥 Proof of issue: If possible, include a short video or description showing the issue (e.g. skipping, warping).
🛍 In-Store Purchases
When buying records in person at Upside Down Records, we encourage customers to inspect each item carefully before purchase. We provide listening stations on request and are happy to assist you in checking playback.
Please note: Once purchased in-store, the condition of the record is considered accepted by the customer. Physical or cosmetic defects (e.g., light scratches, sleeve wear) that were visible or disclosed at the time of sale are not eligible for return.
🔄 Incorrect Item Sent (Online Orders Only)
If you received the wrong record, we’ll cover the return postage and send out the correct one ASAP—or issue a full refund if it’s not available.
📦 Returns Process (Online Orders)
Contact us at [your email or phone number] with your order details and the issue.
We’ll respond within 2 business days to arrange your return.
Once we receive and inspect the record, we’ll process your exchange or credit.
⚠️ Exclusions
Cosmetic wear (e.g. surface scratches, cover wear) already noted in product descriptions.
Records damaged due to misuse or improper handling after purchase.
Sale items marked as “as-is” or “no returns.”
In-store purchases where defects were visible or accepted at time of sale.
We’re passionate about great music and happy customers—so if you ever have questions about a record’s condition, don’t hesitate to ask before buying.
